From Russia with Love

A crystal angel bell made in Gus-Khrustalny (handmade Russian
rock crystal). All photos by Teisuka.

On this week, I had a birthday (February 11), and I received a big parcel from my dear Russian friend Nika.

The parcel included many kinds of lovely gifts: a crystal angel bell made in Gus-Khrustalny (handmade Russian rock crystal), Matryoshka doll, a wooden scoop (traditional Khokhloma folk art), a tasty Russian chocolate called «Бабаевский», a lollipop (lol), a refrigerator magnets with a beautiful images, a keychain (a little Matryoshka doll), a Russian doll with a national costume, and even Russian stamps (when I was a little boy, I collected stamps, and she knew that).

Oh my God, what an amazing and wonderful gifts! I was really touched when I saw all those gifts. My dear, thank you for making my birthday so happy and special in many ways! Crystal angel bell is the best – it is really lovely! As I have said many times before, you really are an angel sent to me by God. And once again, you made my day!

Большое спасибо, ангел мой! Милая моя, ты всегда в моих мыслях. Я люблю тебя! (^—^)

Happy Valentine's Day to all my friends, and thank you for being here! Love above all!

    1. Hi Nikushka ^^

First of all, thanks for your long comment. :) I'm okay, thank you for asking. My right hand seems better – perhaps because of your prayers. ^^ Many thanks for your good wishes. How about you? Hope all is well in your world, my dear. ^^

Oh my goodness! You are going to send me "the second part of gifts"?! You are too kind to me, but I am very grateful. I just feel I haven't earned that much. >< But as you wish, my dear. Your heart is gold, and I love your soul ! ^^ I will also send you a gifts later, as I said in my previous private message... just reply to my questions there, when you have time. Spasibo. :)

Yep, lollipop ("Spasskaya Tower of the Kremlin") was cracked, but rest of the gifts were in good condition. Yes, crystal angel's bell rings so pure and clear and beautiful that it's amazing! I ring that bell always when I miss you, or when I need your prayer, or when I pray for you, or when I think about you... Well, then I should to ring that bell all the time. Xa-xa! :D

Btw, I have to confess: a photo of the crystall angel bell is not taken by me. I found it from the Web. It's an identical (similar) crystal angel bell. Hope you don't mind? Because I can not ever take such beautiful picture like this... My camera is a simple, and I'm not as good photographer as you. ><

Yes, I like Khokhloma folk art very much. I have also a little, wooden Khokhloma box and a tiny wooden Khokhloma cup. I think I have gotten those items from my dear deceased mother.

You too, have a happy time, my dear. Be well and take good care of yourself, sweetie! Good night! -^^-

  2. hi again^^ im glad to hear you better^o^
yes prayer all-powerful. do you remember i told you i visited Orthodox Exhibition Fair? i submit a prayer request (ordered?) a prayer of you the whole year. i mean every day priest will pray of you in time the Proskomide (http://orthodoxwiki.org/Proskomedia) priest removes a particle for the Mysteries - one of the particles will be for you, in one of the monasteries in Siberia. im sorry i dont know how to say correctly in English about Church service, but i hope you understand what i mean.

    thank you for your compliment:)
it's okey. crystal and glass objects like this very difficult - needs a light box.

    goodnight^^
and sorry for my bad eng., Nika

Many thanks for visiting again. It always "makes me feel at home." ^^

Prayer is all-powerful, indeed. You did what?? You submitted a prayer request to pray for me the whole year, every day in time of the Proskomide? Yes, I know exactly what it means, because I am also an Orthodox Christian! ^^ Oh my God, this is so valuable and significant to me, that I can't almost believe that... Wow! As I said, your heart is gold, really! How great and comforting to know, that some Russian priest remember me the whole year during the Proskomidi!

Thank you so much, my sweet angel. Большое спасибо, ангел мой! You're so good you make me cry... -^^; I thank God for you, continually! And I remember you in my prayers every day!

Good night, my sweet friend! Sleep well, and be happy! ^__^

P.S. Tomorrow, I'll try to take own photo of the crystal angel. Let's see, if it will be successful. Then I'll change the main photo of my article... ^^

    2. Hi Nikushka,

It's me again. :) Now I have changed the main photo, and it is taken by me. I mean a crystal angel bell. I tried and tried, and I took many pictures in many places. Finally, I got one good shot. Lucky coincidence! Xa-xa. :D I also took better picture of stamps. Ура!
      \(^ ^)/

It's a beautiful day here in Western Finland. The Sun is shining, air temperature is -7 °C, and snow depth is 22 cm. A good day to walk and enjoy the winter. I wish you could be here with me... ^^ How about Moscow? Have a wonderful and happy day, my dear! See ya! ^^ノ

    3. hello Teisuka
      nice Angel pic^^
please only two word: Cпаси Бог

if we consider the etymology of the word спасибо/spasibo/thank you, it comes from the phrase спаси Бог/ spasi Bog/God save me! that's means our humility before God = thanks God for everything.

i'll return to Moscow on Feb 21
      see ya!^^
and sory for my bad eng.

    4. Dear Nikushka,

Thanks for visiting again, and special thanks for explain me the etymology of the word спасибо (spasibo). Interesting! Because I'm a writer, I am very interested in the etymology. I think Russians are religious/spiritual people, and I appreciate that. Thanks to God for everything – indeed! Have a wonderful evening, my dear. Be well and take good care of yourself. See ya soon! ^^

  6. Hi Tembo-san

It's the end of March, I've missed your birthday (again!) for almost 2 months... so very sorry. Early last month my family received some devastating news. We all lost hope for a dark, dark period. But yesterday, the was a minute glimmer of light through the storm clouds.

Anyway, beautiful birthday gifts! I add my belated wishes to those of your friends, and wish you many happy returns of the day!

    Take care, Tembo-san.

    1. Dear Michiko-chan aka The BonnieM ^^

You forgot what I used to call you? It is BonnieM. Haha. :) Well, long time no see! Many thanks for your belated birthday wishes.

You told that last month your family received some devastating news. You wrote, "We all lost hope for a dark, dark period". Oh know, that sounds bad... I am very sorry to here these news. >< Do you mean your aunt or some other person, or something else? I am worried...

Anyway, I remember you and your family in my prayer and I wish you a lot of strength. Be a strong girl, and please don't ever lose your hope or fighting spirit. Remember you are a Japanese bushi - 武士! I believe that things will get better, in one way or another. And there is Someone above everything who takes care about us...

Dear BonnieM, be well and take good care of yourself! Blessings to you and your family. Ganbatte kudasai!

      Best wishes,
      Tembo
