with all its beautiful icons!
False faces of beauty have faded away
and the rain clouds roll over the city.
The nightingales have left the heart of the park,
a man is sitting on the bench like an empty shell.
Now the three great are gone,
and the greatest of those was love.
A prose poem by Teisuka (May 23, 2013)
A later addition (May 27). This gloomy and symbolical prose poem was written in the moment of grief and weakness. It based what I have experienced, but it is not intended to take too literally.
Dear Tembo-san
ReplyDeleteI've read this, and READ this.. and read it again. So sad and dark it is..! I also read the thingies at the side bar -_-
Are you now between a hard rock and a brick wall, Tembo-san? Well! I want you to get up, dust off your knees and strecth fully.. and let yourself FALL. Because. I am here. I'm your soft place to fall, remember?? What do Kunoichi-s do when a Samurai falls?? Why, we catch them!
If there is turmoil in your head, let those be gone with the dawn of a new day!
If there is pain in your heart, let the rays of God shine on them and dissipate them!
If it is disappointment you face, brother mine, come forth and let new hope begin to grow!
Don't let the Dark take over, it's not worth it!
Whispering Hope
Whispering hope, oh how welcome thy voice,
Making my heart in its sorrow rejoice.
Soft as the voice of an angel,
Breathing a lesson unheard,
Hope with a gentle persuasion
Whispers her comforting word:
Wait till the darkness is over,
Wait till the tempest is done,
Hope for the sunshine tomorrow,
After the shower is gone.
If, in the dusk of the twilight,
Dim be the region afar,
Will not the deepening darkness
Brighten the glimmering star?
Then when the night is upon us,
Why should the heart sink away?
When the dark midnight is over,
Watch for the breaking of day.
Hope, as an anchor so steadfast,
Rends the dark veil for the soul,
Whither the Master has entered,
Robbing the grave of its goal.
Come then, O come, glad fruition,
Come to my sad weary heart;
Come, O Thou blest hope of glory,
Never, O never depart.
Have a good week-end, Tembo-san.. let not the sorrow taketh away the joy of Love, Friendship and Living.
Ganbatte kudasai!!
- The Kunoichi
Dear Michiko the Kunoichi-chan,
DeleteThank you very much for your warm and heartfelt comment, and the beautiful poem (lyrics?) you shared with me. I really, really appreciate it. You're a true friend. Anata wa totemo shinsetsu desu. Honto ni arigato! Watashi wa hororitosuru...
m(_ _)m
Yes, this poem is sad and dark. It is quite symbolical and gloomy poem, which tells about the sweet lies, and the death of faith, hope, and love ("the three great"). So, this time topic is very serious, and it is not a happy poem.
You said you are my "soft place to fall". Awww, you are so kind and endearing, Bonnie-chan! -^^- But what if I'm falling from too high...? Haha. Well, life is a variation of days and nights, joy and sorrow, ups and downs... We can not help that. But in the darkness, there is always something more than a mere darkness, like a hand of a friend... Thank you for being exist, my dear friend and little sister! I wish you a wonderful weekend! Mata atode aimashou. ^^
Blessings.
Yoroshiku,
Tembo
Hi Teisuka,
ReplyDeleteNice poem, and it seems that it was not only written for yourself, but for me as well. *Sign* Life is not easy, and right now it's probably the most trying period of time for me. Originally, YouTube was a place for me to get fun, right now it's a place for me to get comfort. Hope we both have the strength to overcome whatever difficulties we are facing now. Let's keep praying for each other, my friend. Happy week!
Bao
Hi Bao,
DeleteThanks for your kind feedback, my friend. I'm sorry to hear you have also "felt like this" recently... That is true, life is not always so easy. But we will never give up, buddy. Right? :) And yes, let's keep praying for each other. In the side bar ("Quote of the Week") you find one great prayer you can also join. God can give us strength. Happy week to you, my friend!
